SCHUYLER – The Lady Cougars entered the Class C1-4 subdistricts at Schuyler as the #1 seed and ranked #7 in the Lincoln Journal Star Class C2 rankings. They would open sub district play on Monday, October 29th against East Butler and the Lady Tigers would take the local girls to four games as Cross County prevailed 25-19, 26-24, 19-25, 25-13. That would advance them to the subdistrict finals on Tuesday, October 30th against David City Aquinas. This would be a hard fought match, but the Lady Cougars would fall in five games 30-28, 25-20, 26-28, 22-25, 15-7.
Megan Allison led the Lady Cougars with 5 kills and four solo blocks. Anna Burhoop added 12 kills and seven blocks. Taylor Westring came up with 11 kills and one block. Edie Nickel and Ashley Westring had two kills apiece.

Taylor Westring added seven points for the Lady Cougars. Beebe handled the setting with 35 assists on a 118-for-125 performance.
The win over East Butler would match the Lady Cougars up with the Aquinas Lady Monarchs. After losing their first two games of the match, the Lady Cougars fought off their opponent to win games three and four to force a game five. Cross County got down early in game five and couldn’t come back.
Allison again led Cross County at the net with 30 kills and five solo blocks. Taylor Westring added 11 kills. Nickel had six kills and Burhoop pounded five and had a team high six blocks. Ashley Westring would have two kills in the loss.
Courtney Dravitzki led in serving with 13 points and two aces. Taylor Westring served eight points. Ashley Westring had seven points and one ace. Allison served six points and three aces while Nickel had six points and one ace. Dravitzki was 44-for-47 on serve receive from her libero position.
