Huskies compete at Cougar Invite

The Shelby Huskies traveled to Osceola on Thursday, May 1st for the Cross County Invitational Track Meet. The Huskies had a disappointing finish in the meet, with the ladies ending up in 6th place and the boys in 7th.
Lindsey Coffin brought home a gold medal in the 100 with a time of 12.84. She also finished third in the 200 with a time of 28.40.
Kirk Vodicka took first in the shot put with a distance of 44’ 8”, which was over a foot farther than the second place finisher from Fullerton. Todd Bauer brought home a third place medal in the discus.

GIRLS—
100 - Lindsey Coffin, 1st, 12.84
200 - Lindsey Coffin, 3rd, 28.40
4x100 relay - 4th, 57.14
4x800 relay - 6th, 12:26.2
High jump - Fieke Janssen, 5th, 4’ 8”
Long jump - Lindsey Coffin, 2nd, 15’ 8”
BOYS—
4x800 relay - 3rd, 9:13.81
Triple jump - Derek Swanson, 4th, 40’ 2”
Shot put - Kirk Vodicka, 1st, 44’ 8”
Discus - Todd Bauer, 3rd, 120’ 8”
