Wesley Nelson of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully on Monday, January 25, 2010 at the Life Care Center in Scottsdale, Arizona at age 93.
He is survived by one son, Gary (Glenda), Falls City, NE, three daughters, Donna Lehman (Roger), Santa Maria, CA, Debra Shenenberg (Ted), Scottsdale, AZ and Lori Nelson (Sam), Scottsdale, AZ. He had three grandchildren, Eric Nelson (Erika), Gilbert, AZ, Tara McClarnen (John), Glenwood, IA, and John Shenenberg, Chandler, AZ, as well as three great grandchildren, Bryce McClarnen, and Ben and Emma Nelson. He will be greatly missed by all his family.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Vivian, and his parents, Walford and Mabel (Gustafson) Nelson.
Born in Osceola, NE on October 11, 1916, he served with the US Army Air Corp in Europe during World War II; was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Osceola for many years; and farmed north of Osceola, before retiring to Phoenix, AZ in 1982.
