Maxine Mae Iwanski, age 77, of Columbus, died Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Columbus Community Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 4th at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus with Rev. Joseph Miksch, Rev. Matthew Vandewall and Deacon Duane Iwanski officiating. Interment was in St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in rural Shelby, NE. McKown Funeral Home in Columbus was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband Lee of Columbus; mother Josephine Bernt of Columbus; daughters Debbie Adams of Columbus, Kathy Flavell of Bellevue and Sue (Bryan) Hast of Columbus; son Randy Iwanski of rural Papillion; brother Myron (Janis) Bernt of Stromsburg; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father Alfred Bernt.
