Loren Earl Oberg, age 60, of Stromsburg, Nebraska, passed away January 1, 2012 at York General Hospital in York, Nebraska.
Funeral services were held Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Stromsburg with Pastor Brenda Pfeifly officiating. Visitation was held Wednesday, January 4 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Stromsburg. Interment was in the Swede Home Cemetery. Dubas Funeral Home of Stromsburg and Osceola had been entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors include his wife Sherry of Stromsburg; children Sarah (Sam) Auld of Kearney, Lisa Oberg and fiancé Luke Whitefoot of Waverly, Amber (Ryan) Scheer of Lincoln, Cole (Joni) Anderson of Lincoln, and Laura Oberg of Stromsburg; two step-grandchildren; brother Lynn (Janice) Oberg of Stromsburg; sister LuAnn (Daniel) Damewood of Lincoln; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends, especially his many close customers over the years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Vera Oberg; brother Landin Oberg; and step-son Tyler Anderson.
