James E. Hatfield, age 83, of Stromsburg, Nebraska, passed away June 23, 2008 at his home in Stromsburg.
Funeral services will be Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Stromsburg with Pastor Dan Spearow officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 25 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Dubas Funeral Home in Stromsburg. Interment will be in the Stromsburg Cemetery with Military Rites by Stromsburg Legion Post #132. Memorials are suggested to the Stromsburg United Methodist Scholarship Fund or the family. Dubas Funeral Home of Stromsburg and Osceola is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife Eleanor of Stromsburg, sons Russsell Hatfield of Omaha, and Noel (Judy) Hatfield of Hamburg, Iowa; one brother Robert (Dorothy) Hatfield of San Jose, CA; one sister Margaret Samson of York; one sister-in-law Thelma Hatfield of Lexington; two granddaughters Jamie and Jennifer; step-granddaughter Shiela (Barnett) Carfield and husband Terry and step-great grandchildren, Matt, Heather, Tyler and Jake. nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Ruth, step-mother Evette, and brother Charles.
