Harold Dean Stoddard, age 84, of Stromsburg, Nebraska, passed away February 20, 2010 at Annie Jeffrey Memorial County Health Center in Osceola, Nebraska.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Rising City with Pastor Glenn Hubbard officiating. Graveside services were held at 1:00 p.m. in the Stromsburg Cemetery with Military Rites by Stromsburg Legion Post 132. Visitation was Tuesday, February 23 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Dubas Funeral Home in Stromsburg. Dubas Funeral Home of Stromsburg and Osceola had been entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors include his wife Marcia of Stromsburg; two brothers Kenneth (Dorothy) Stoddard of Malta, IL and Merle Jr. (Mary) Stoddard of Florida; one sister-in-law Maxine Stoddard of DeKalb, IL and one brother-in-law Orville Smith of Shelby; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Merle and Anna; two brothers Ivan and Fred; three sisters Mae Davidson, Gladys Arenkill and Mary Ann Smith.
