Edward L. Schinzel, age 82 of Sidney, NE passed away at Golden Living Center in Sidney, NE on Saturday evening, January 7, 2012.
Vigil services were held at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 11th with Mass of Christian Burial services at 10:00 A.M., Thursday January 12th. Both services will be held at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sidney with Father Art Faesser officiating. Gehrig-Stitt Chapel & Cremation Services is in charge of Ed’s care and funeral arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made in Ed’s name to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
Immediate survivors include: his wife: Kathie of Sidney; (7) children: Mike Schinzel and wife Deb of Waukee, IA, Pat Brown and husband Richard of Colorado Springs, CO, Ann Rath and husband Jerry of Highlands Ranch, CO, Jane Joyce and husband Brent of Sidney, Judy Brown and husband Jeff of Phoenix, AZ, Rita Anest and husband Steve of Sidney and Lori Cudmore and husband Russ of Parker, CO; (3) step-children: Yvonne Tomaino and husband Steve of Greeley, CO, Alan Sewald and wife Sharon and Jim Sewald and wife Linda both of North Platte, NE; (2) sons-in-law: Rick Bouldin of Sidney and Frank Burns of Gilbert, AZ; (11) grandchildren; (2) great-grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife: Catherine; (4) daughters: Karen Bouldin, Paula Burns and infants Mary Catherine Schinzel and Christine Regina Schinzel; (1) granddaughter: Angel Marie Lien and numerous extended family members.
