Edmund Kontor

Edmund Kontor, age 95, passed away April 20, 2008 in Stromsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, April 23rd at 10:30 a.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Silver Creek. Interment was in St. Lawrence Cemetery in Silver Creek. McKown Funeral Home in Silver Creek and Columbus was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy of Osceola; son Louis (Norma) Kontor of Columbus; sisters Clara (Stanley) Bojan of Omaha, Rosie Furasek of Weston, Genevieve Konwinski of Columbus and Marian Matyja of Omaha; brother Valerian (Helen) Kontor of Omaha; sisters-in-law Marilyn Kontor of Columbus and Edith Kontor of Omaha; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Helen Bojanski and Florence Konwinski, and brothers John Kontor, Jr., Clifford Kontor, Louie Kontor and Raymond Kontor.
