Tami (Augustin) Weber of Shelby will be competing in the Mrs. Nebraska Pageant in Omaha on May 22, 2010. She will be competing in an interview, swimsuit, and evening gown competition.
The Mrs. Nebraska Pageant is opened to any married women 18 years old and above who reside in Nebraska.
Tami currently holds the title of Mrs. Greater Nebraska and is using it to make a difference in the Shelby community by endorsing literacy projects for our youth and adults of all ages. She spends a great deal of time with the sick and less fortunate.
If Tami were to win the title of Mrs. Nebraska, she would then have the opportunity to not only represent Shelby and the surrounding communities, but the entire state of Nebraska. In August, she would travel to Tucson, Arizona to compete for the title of Mrs. America. From there, Mrs. America competes for the title of Mrs. World. In 2009, that pageant was held in Vietnam.
Tami is a lifelong Shelby resident. Her parents are Larry and Deanna Augustin of Shelby and she is the granddaughter of Helen Augustin of Shelby. Tami graduated from Shelby High School in 1991, the University of Nebraska in 1995, and is  in process of completing her Masters degree in Business Administration from Wayne State College.
Tami is married to Travis Weber, school teacher and coach for Shelby High School. They have three children - Tyler, Faith and Aniston. She is currently employed by Nebraska Public Power District in Columbus as a Procurement Specialist. She is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, St. Ann's Guild, Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity, is a supporter of the National Children's Literacy Project, and is President of the Shelby Alumni Association.
To share her passion of children literacy, Tami is willing to speak at any local or charitable event as Mrs. Greater Nebraska. She would also be available to visit your business or school to talk about possible literacy projects. For more information or to contact Tami, call (402) 527-5248.
