United Farmers Cooperative Announces Acquisition of CPI Waco

YORK—United Farmers Cooperative (UFC) today announced it has agreed to acquire the agronomy center located in Waco, Nebraska from CPI, expanding its ability to better serve customer members.
CPI Waco, an agronomy service center specializing in seed, seed treatments, crop protection and liquid fertilizer products, will integrate with the UFC agronomy division.
“We have demonstrated integrity and success as a provider of agronomic services to our customer members and we look forward to similar levels of success through the addition of the Waco facilities” said Carl Dickinson, President and CEO of UFC.
The transaction is expected to close by September 30, 2010. Details were not disclosed.
“Our industry is dynamic and we see potential for UFC to bring increased value to customers through acquisitions from trusted companies like CPI and appreciate their willingness to create this opportunity” added Dickinson.
