Pandorf Wins Tractor in National Drawing

“I’ve never really thought of myself as lucky. I guess I can’t say that anymore,” says Phil Pandorf after finding out he won a new Case IH Farmall A Series tractor.
Last year at Husker Harvest Days, Phil visited the Case IH booth and was selected to play on one of the teams answering Case IH trivia questions. His team won and their names were entered into the Case IH Farm Show Sweepstakes, a national drawing for a new Farmall A.
Phil, who is from Shelby, received a call earlier this spring from Case IH notifying him that he had won. “It took me by surprise. I had to think about it for a minute.”  Phil’s name was randomly drawn from names collected at the Farm Progress Show in Decatur IL, Sept, 1-3, 2009 and from Husker Harvest Days in Grand Island, Sept. 15-18, 2009. He had nearly forgotten that he had entered the contest.
The new Farmall A will be used to mow and possibly run an auger this fall. Phil has already used it and likes the way it operates. He used to mow with an older Ford tractor and said, “I think this new one has a little more power.”
There have been no recent Farmalls on the Pandorf family farm, not since the H & M series. This new Case IH Farmall A Series tractor is a no-nonsence machine with a simple mechanical transmission and dependable, fuel-efficent engine. Rugged, reliable and easy to operate, it offers plenty of power and hydraulics for loading, blading, tilling and mowing.
The tractor was shipped to Grosshans in Central City where it was inspected and prepared for delivery to its new home at the Pandorfs.
