New Village Clerk Hired in Shelby

Ashley Bell of Columbus is the new City Clerk hired for the Village of Shelby. She began working for the Village of Shelby as an interim on October 10, 2011, and will assume a permanent position on Thursday, January 19, 2012.
Ashley brings a wealth of accounting experience to the Village of Shelby. She earned an associate degree in accounting from Central Community College in Columbus, and will graduate with her bachelor's degree in business from Bellevue University in July, 2012.
Prior to coming to Shelby, Ashley was employed with Nebraska Irrigation as an accounting clerk for 1 1/2 years.  Before that, she worked as a freelance accounting clerk for Bell Accounting Solutions in Lincoln for about eight years.
Ashley is enjoying working in Shelby and meeting new people. "I'm happy to be a part of the team for the Village," she added.
Ashley is engaged to Austin Ryan of Columbus. She has two daughters—Tatem, age 9 and Jezalin, age 7.
