Twenty three couples  who have reached 50 or more years of marriage enjoyed the 18th annual community Sweetheart Banquet held on Monday, February 15, 2010.  The evening was spent in the beautifully decorated dining room of the Covenant Church.
Pastor John Dale welcomed the group and gave the invocation.    A delectable dinner was prepared by the Covenant ladies and served with the assistance of children who will  be attending Covenant Cedars camp this summer.     The program featured  talent shared by  Jan Randell,  Jeannie Ahlquist, Sue Rosenbaum, Dianne Nielsen, and Pastor Bob Johnson.
Jack and Judy Anderson were introduced as the newest couple to celebrate their 50th anniversary.  In keeping with the tradition started in 1992, couples with the most years of marriage were given special recognition.    Clayton and Margaret Taylor were introduced as they celebrated their 68th anniversary on February 14.    Also recognized were four couples, Warren and Betty Johnson,  Verlin and Helen Johnson, Brooke and Wilma Berggren, and Richard and Donna Anderson, who have or will be celebrating their 64th anniversaries this year.
