Funeral services for Wallace "Wally" Warren Zade were conducted from the Evangelical Free Church of Orleans, NE on Friday, December 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jonathan Bosse officiating. Interment was in the Orleans Cemetery.
Wally Zade, 62, of Aurora, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at Lincoln. He was born October 26, 1944 in Van Port, Oregon, the first son of 5 children born to Lester and Violet (Mays) Zade. He attended school in Oregon and Nebraska.
In November of 1965 he was united in marriage to Ida Kelly in Holdrege, NE and to this union one daughter, Lisa Lyn was born. Wally was employed by the Ford Garage in Oxford, NE and later at Redman's Homes in Grand Island.
In July of 1979, Wally married Linda Mooney of Stromsburg and the couple has resided in Aurora for the past 26 years where he was employed by Bonnavilla Homes and ABC Construction until he was disabled. Wally enjoyed fishing, hunting and restoring old guns.
Survivors include his wife Linda of Aurora; one daughter Lisa (Danny) Barnes of Omaha; four sisters Wyona (David) Koehler of Las Vegas, NV, Patricia (Jerry) Pohl of Aurora, Marilyn (Jr.) Cuba of Glenvil and Linda Larsen of Orleans; one brother Wayne Zade of Orleans; one granddaughter Amber Barnes of Omaha; mother-in-law Bonnie Mooney of Stromsburg; one aunt Mary Svoboda of Concord, CA; 22 nieces and nephews; 15 great-nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The Mitchell Funeral Home in Orleans was in charge of arrangements.
