The Shelby Huskies hosted their annual holiday tournament on Dec. 28 and 29. The local boys drew Palmer for their first round game and lost 46-41. That put them in the consolation game on Friday where they bounced back to down Prague 65-38.
Gillespie led the opening game in scoring with 13 points, followed by Hablitzel with 11. Bryant Alt topped the boards against Prague with 18 points, with Hablitzel once again scoring 11 for the Huskies. Gillespie finished the game with 10 points.
Shelby boys are now 5-2 on the season.
